I like to make my mother in law a cake every year. This is my first time doing a cupcake, I sculpted it all instead of using the cake pans shaped like that. That probably would have been too easy!! You know, give me a challenge! Well knowing how to sculpt a cupcake can be helpful if you are doing a very large cake that they don't make that size of pans for. Once I had the initial pieces carved I added on rolled fondant logs to create the creases in the cupcake liner and for the frosting. Then I added a layer of fondant over all to cover. I enjoy the oversized sprinkles and flower immensely.
